l would like to share my experience after comparing and testing two solutions – LG 49LJ5100 vs Sony XBR55A1E. A noticeable difference when comparing the two models is the screen size, which is 49 inches for the 49LJ5100 and 55 inches for the XBR55A1E. The 49LJ5100 from series LJ5100, but the opponent belongs to series A1E. The series LG 49LJ5100 has 49 inches diagonals, but in the case of XBR55A1E only 55, 65, 77 diagonals are possible.
The 4K/UHD video playback is implemented only in XBR55A1E. Rivals work well with Full HD video. The 49LJ5100 has IPS display, while the XBR55A1E has OLED display. The 49LJ5100 screen has 60 refresh rate, versus the 120 refresh rate in the XBR55A1E. Unfortunately, none of the devices supports 3D video playback.
The stereo audio format is available on 49LJ5100, whille XBR55A1E works with the surround format. Speakers with a power of 10W are installed in 49LJ5100, but in 49LJ5100 has speakers with a power of 50W. None of the TVs in this comparison have Dolby Atmos support.
